Hollow, Chamberlin Make it 3 in a Row at Fall Jamboree

It's back to back... to BACK for Tracy Chamberlin and Mike Holloway. The two-man team captured their 3rd consecutive Fall Jamboree title today by following up a first round 63 with another on the final day to claim the title by a comfortable margin. Holloway and Chamberlin got off to a hot start, creating a 2 shot lead after the first round and never looked back, extending their lead further through the final round en route to a 5 shot victory over 2nd place finishers John Smith and Steve Anderson. "We really played well together this weekend." Says Chamberlin. "Mike was able to pick me up when I struggled, and I did the same for him." "Ham and egging" is an important part of the tournament's 6-6-6 format, in which 6 holes are played as fourball, 6 as a scamble, and 6 as alternate shot.

Half-way through the final round, Holloway and Chamberlin had extended their lead to 4. Smith and Anderson knew they would have to make a charge down the stretch if they wanted to challenge the 2 time champs. Chamberlin and Holloway excelled in the scramble format, going 5-under for the 6 holes. "We didn't really do anything amazing today, just took care of business. We made 5 birdies in the scrabmle, and 3 in the fourball. You have to take advantage of those formats." Congratulations to Mike and Tracy on their excellent play.
