2023 Tournament Results
Sokolosky Wins City Medal Play
Zach Sokolosky won his second City Medal
Play Championship. Sokolosky finished with
a -6 under par total, four shots in front of
2nd place finisher Spencer Christian. Pete
Krsnich and Elliot Soyez finished in a tie for
3rd place at -1 under par.
This is Sokolosky's second win in two weeks,
following his Kansas Amateur victory at
Falcon Lakes in Kansas City.

Oetken Wins City Senior Championship
Dave Oetken of Wichita followed up his
First Round 68 with a 1-over par 73 to
claim the 2023 City Senior Championship
by 3 shots. Coming in solo second was
Tracy Chamberlin, who gave Oetken a
goodrun with a final round 2-under par 70.
One stroke behind Chamberlin was Mike
Ward to round out the top 3. Thank you to
our Flight winners and to all the
competitors!

Colt Farrow Wins City Junior
A record number of participants came to Sim Park to compete in the 2023 Auggie Navarro City Junior Championship. Colt Farrow won with a -6 under total score. Farrow finished four shots in front of 2nd place finishers Kaiden Leivian and Noah Pirtle.
Bell & Soyez Win City Fourball
Elliot Soyez and Jeff Bell won their
first City Fourball Championship.
After surviving the Friday rain and
wind, the weekend was filled with
birdies. Bell and Soyez finished at -18
under par, one stroke ahead of 2020
Fourball winners, Jonathan May and
Craig Howell. Pete Krsnich and Joey
Krsnich finished two shots back at -16
under par.

Newman & Ballard Repeat at Senior Fourball
Charlie Ballard and Steve Newman
won their second straight Senior
Fourball Championship in a sudden
death playoff over Tracy
Chamberlin and Tim Mckinnis.
Ballard and Newman held a 1 shot
lead going into the final round over
Chamberlin & Mckinnis. Chamberlin
& Mckinnis fired a final round 67 to
force a sudden death playoff with
Newman & Ballard. Newman and
Ballard won with a birdie on the first
playoff hole.

Joey Krsnich Wins the 2023 Match Play Championship
Joey Krsnich wins the 2023 Match Play
Championship that was held at Rolling
Hills Country Club. Krsnich had close
matches throughout the tournament.
Krsnich took 20 holes to defeat Derek
Harrison in the Quarterfinals, winning 4
of the last 6 holes to force extras. Krsnich
then beat last year's Match Play winner,
Charlie Stevens, 1 up with a birdie on the
18th hole and then took out three time
champion, Steve Newman, 1 up in the
Championship match.
