Jonathan May and Craig Howell bested a talented field Sunday to claim the 2014 WGA City Fourball Championship. The two-man team shot rounds of 65-66-67-69 en route to a whopping 9 stroke victory. There were past champions in the field competing in the annual event, but May and Howell managed to make it out on top. Going into today's final round, May and Howell were 6 shots clear of Father/Son duo Charlie and Johnny Stevens. May knew how important it would be to maintain their lead against the Stevens throughout the round. "The turning point for us today was when we were able to hold off Johnny and Charlie on the back nine." said May. By that time, it would appear May and Howell had alrady wrapped things up, but the champions didn't count their chickens. "When the last putt on 18 went in, we were finally able to soak in the fact that we had won." That never satisfied mindset helped May and Howell finish of the team of Stevens and the reast of the field on their way to victory. Congratulations to Jonathan and Craig on an impressive two weeks of golf.
